Capacitive RPM measurement unit
A device used to get reliable rpm readings from engines just by looping a wire around the spark plug wire.
After oscilloscope testing I couldn't decide what the best approach for handling the analog signal would be, so I designed a PCB to test 3 possible topologies, that allowed me to switch between the 3 and check the results easily with just jumper wires.
Initially testing with the new board, none of the circuits worked (!) with some tweaks I combined 2 of the toplogies together to prodduce a high-noise-immunity circuit that had reliable stable readings across all different engines tested.
A small gadget for providing real time through internet connection:
Nearest bus-stop information
It's battery powered, features a 0.96" OLED screen and is based on the ESP32-S3 board.
LoRa is a longrange form of wireless data exchange. I made a pair of boards, one transmitter and a receiver to test the range in urban environment and with line of sight. The results with line of sight were very impressive at approximately 3km of range and in urban environment at about 800m
